The Wilton Wake Up is in aid of Stars Charity Appeal and raises, on average, around £10,000 each year. Wake Ups give car enthusiasts the opportunity to display their own wheels, look at other cars and talk to fellow petrol heads. The events are held once a month from April to August.
On Sunday 27th August, the theme for the meet was post-1990 Iconic Performance Cars and we again organised a small private meet-up and convoy to the event. The convoy included a Mercedes SLS AMG, 2 Ferrari 512 Testarossas, a Golf R8 track car, an Audi R8 V10 Plus, a Porsche 964 Speedster, a Porsche GT3 RS and a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. Full English breakfast and bacon butties were enjoyed before browsing the other stunning cars on display. We took a detour to The Wonston pub on the way back to base where we all enjoyed a light lunch and impromptu visit by James Martin with his stunning Ferrari 275 GTB/4 Competizioni.
